Face it Worsta

Wustah, MA is just like any other third-rate city in lower-class America in many ways. It's a place that continually tries very hard to prove to the world it's a "special" kind of place to live, with lots of "diversity" and unique culture.

In the Wuss, identity crisis is part of the heritage. From the nightmarish Puritanical history right on through to current times, the local yokels have always had a talent for making themselves out to be heroes in their own minds. Some say Big fish/small pond syndrome. I say, Worstever is more like a puddle - a puddle that their delusions of grandeur somehow transformed into a thriving, up-and-coming "city on the move" in their minds. Hey, life is what you make it I guess.

But often times, many of these "self-importants" will stretch the truth and say things like,, "Hey, we're New England's Second Largest City" completely ignoring three important truths:

1. Being second place in any contest is really nothing worth coining as your city anthem.

2. Providence, RI is actually the second largest city in New England.

and of course, most importantly of course -

3. Who the fuck really gives a shit about New England anyways?

That being said, I think the underbelly of this shitty little village is where the real charm is. And it grows wild like mold. It's these little spores, the shit-talking, joke-making, finger pointing negative assholes that are the real gems here in Wahtown. While others are doing back flips and waving their wusta pompons, these are the crew that flip the bird and wave their hatred with pride.

This ditty is dedicated to those folks. The assholes who truly know -how to Celebrate the Hate.
